I believe mental health care should be viewed just like physical health care, something we all need but in different ways at different times – sometimes an emergency needing acute care or maybe specific ailment, other times you just need a check-up and to check in.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, you are the expert of yourself, but I am here to provide alternative frameworks, coping strategies, education, and support by using a variety of evidence-based techniques. While I specialize in cognitive and behavioral approaches with training in substance use disorders, trauma, chronic pain and sleep disorders, I also favor mindfulness and mind-body connections.
Therapy is your time, and I promise to provide you with respect and a safe space. If I am not the right fit for you, I will help you find the therapist who meets your needs.
